Celebrating the King’s Coronation!

What a great day we had celebrating the coronation of King Charles ||| .

We all came dressed in red, white and blue for the special day.

The children made special keepsakes to take home using sponge printing on canvas and of course adding some gems!

Some children chose to make crowns and others castles. We spent some time acting out a coronation ourselves using a home made crown, sceptre and orb.

At snack time we had a really special and traditional treat - scones, cream and jam.

We then played pin the crown on the king. It ended up in all sorts of funny places.

At the end of the day we were invited into Peatmoor School to join in with their assembly. The children sat beautifully and enjoyed listening to the big children’s poems.
