We all had a great time on Shrove Tuesday! We talked about why we have pancakes and how we make them. The children had a lovely time at the builders tray creating pancake mixture and squeezing the juice out of lemons and limes The room smelt beautiful! The children used the scales and measuring spoons and jugs to make the mixture and we heard lots of great language.
Some children chose a slightly less messy activity and opted to make pancakes out of lemon scented playdough ๐. They rolled the dough out and added gems as decorations.
