What a fun afternoon we had in the nature area celebrating bonfire night. We had a talk about firework safety and how to stay safe around fire and sparklers and then we lit a small bbq fire to toast some marshmallows and make s’mores. The children loved doing this activity and loved eating them even more!
We then gave each child the opportunity to hold a sparkler (as we are called Sparklers!) They were all really careful and wore their gloves to keep their hands safe.
We finished the day by playing toasting marshmallows inside with loose parts and doing some colour mixing to make fire colours.
