Remembering with poppies

Today we learnt all about remembrance day and talked about the soldiers. we made poppy wreaths by potato printing red flowers and painting black centres. The poppies were then cut out and stuck to rings of card.

We then took the children for a walk down to the local postbox which has been decorated in knitted poppies by a local lady. We stood by the postbox and placed our wreaths by it and the children all stood beautifully for a 2 minute silence.
