This week we have been celebrating Halloween. The children and staff have come in fancy dress and each child had the chance to tell everyone what they had come as.
We had lots of fun activities set up for the children.
Making pumpkin soup, practising knife skills with child safe knives.
Decorating pumpkin biscuits
Making masks using scratch art paper. The children had to press hard with the tools to make colourful marks on the paper.
We also filled cauldrons with different sensory items like aqua beads and jelly for the children to delve in and find some spooky skeletons and spiders!
On the last day we took the cauldrons down to the woods to make potions and spells with natural objects. The children loved doing this and we linked it to the story Room on the Broom.
