We have had a great time leading up to Christmas. We've been able to do so many lovely festive activities.
The role play area became a Christmas lounge with a Christmas tree to decorate, various dressing up outfits to put on and presents tl wrap to put under the tree. We also decorated stockings to hang by the fireplace.
We learnt about the story of the Nativity and why Christians celebrate Christmas. We listen to the story and then acted it out together.
The children enjoyed making little snowy houses using biscuits, Icing and sweets.
The children decorated wooden baubles and we put them up around Peatmoor lake as a trail for the local community.
We also spent lots of time making Christmas cards for our families and practiced writing our names inside.
Some of the activities we've been doing have been improving our fine motor skills - using tweezers, pens and Christmas playdough cutters.
We finished our Christmas term with a party with lots of games, dancing and a visit from Santa!!!
